Droughts, flooding, and wildfires are now part of the rhythm of our lives. The science is clear: without urgent action, these impacts will deepen, and biodiversity will continue to collapse.
That might feel overwhelming. But here at Make it Wild, we believe local action has never been more important. Every tree, every meadow, every pond, every acre restored is part of the bigger picture. Small steps, taken consistently, add up to real change.
Our Commitment

30 tonnes of CO2e
through tree planting
by allocating 9 recently planted trees
in our High Pasture Reserve, Burtersett, North Yorkshire

We plant trees in all our nature reserves. We have found they are the best way to encourage nature into the spaces we create for biodiversity.
They provide habitat, shelter and food for countless insects, birds and mammals. They stabilise soil, help to alleviate flooding, improve air quality, provide wind breaks, absorb carbon dioxide and give us oxygen. And more than that – they’re beautiful!
